Dan is a highly experienced technical design leader, having joined rhp in 1998 working on a diverse range of projects, valued between £300k-£40m, using various construction methodologies and materials. The majority of projects that Dan has worked on have run from detailed design stage (RIBA Stage 2/3) through to construction. Projects to date have included exhibition spaces, clinical spaces, laboratories (new and refurbishment), social housing, sheltered housing, high-rise residential, commercial offices, mixed-use schemes, schools (primary & secondary) and student residential. He has worked closely with client bodies, end-users, consultants and contractors to develop key relationships, ensuring successful development and delivery.
Dan was instrumental in rhp’s adoption and integration of Revit and delivered the practice's first BIM project in 2012, Kier Group UK’s HQ, also undertaking Beta testing for the Kier BIMXtra platform. Dan continues to help develop the practice's Revit/BIM capability and combines his lead designer role with BIM manager on a number projects to deliver fully coordinated BIM models and successfully avoid site clashes. His current project, post graduate accommodation for the University of Cambridge's North West Cambridge Development, was selected as a flagship for the NWC scheme, being the only Lot to have BIM level 2 as an employer's requirement.
