rhp is now an EOT!
We are pleased to announce that we have become an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), meaning that we are now wholly owned by all our employees. A strong collaborative culture has always been a key aspect of the way we run our Practice and our employees are the heart of rhp. This change helps to involve all our staff in planning for the future.
David Hills, director since 2000, has been at the forefront of making this significant change to the ownership of rhp. He said: “Our objective has always been to achieve effective and sustainable design solutions that enhance the lives of the users of our buildings and local community. Alongside this ambition, has been our commitment to creating a happy and fulfilling workplace for our staff. By widening ownership of rhp to include its employees, we are securing the future of the Practice, whilst embedding our ethos and values in the way it is run. This change will benefit our staff, clients, and others who have contact with us."
Tom Foggin, Associate, said “Being part of rhp has always felt like being part of a family, so the Practice’s transition to an EOT is a natural step in ensuring the voices of all family members are heard. The new structure reflects rhp’s emphasis on putting people first as we work to create great architecture, and I can’t wait to see what we achieve in the coming years as a people-focused Practice.”
rhp‘s existing management structure remains in place and will continue to guide the Practice on a day-to-day basis. It has been supplemented by a new Board of Trustees, initially made up of members of the management team. After a 12-month transition period, Trustee membership will be spread throughout the Practice, with all employees having the opportunity to vote for any member of staff who wishes to undertake the role. We have also appointed an independent Trustee, Sue Lawrence, as Chairperson who will bring a depth of previous experience to the Trust.
We are extremely pleased to announce this change in ownership, which we believe will enhance our ability to deliver to come the high value and excellent quality of service for which we are already well known.
