Project Cornerstone

We were pleased to receive these visuals recently of the rhp originated scheme for Elekta’s Cornerstone Building (images courtesy of delivery architects T P Bennett).

Elekta provides radiation therapy, radiosurgery, related equipment and clinical management for the treatment of cancer and brain disorders. Our concept design for a five storey, high grade office complex will serve as their UK HQ.

Sited in Crawley—within a stones throw of Gatwick airport—the development required close engagement with the airport management team in addition to a broad cross section of stakeholders. Completing the scheme to detailed RIBA Stage 3 enabled a smooth progress through planning.

Due to complete later this year the building will provide Elekta with a high quality open plan office environment enabling new, more collaborative ways of working, with break-out, touchdown and meeting areas, in addition to social spaces, a cafeteria and equipment demonstration spaces.
