Refurbishment work on Cambridge University's Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology is due to start on site shortly. The £1.8m project provides refurbished gallery and exhibition space, a new entrance, reception and visitor facilities.

The Museum houses a world-class collection of Oceanic, Asian, African and native American art, as well as a significant collection of Captain Cook artefacts. The archaeology collections include the earliest stone tools, textiles and pottery from South America and local collections.
