Faculty of Classics

Thank you to the members of the Faculty of Classics, University of Cambridge, for a lovely party on Saturday evening to celebrate the official opening of their new extension. With the new academic year well under way its great to see the faculty settling in to their new facilities.

Completed earlier in the year the new extension provides the Faculty and the Museum of Classical Archaeology with a new entrance, administrative offices, an extension to the library and new visitor reception in the museum.

The extension takes the form a a slim two storey extension to the North of the Casson Conder designed faculty and museum building, constructed in the early 1980's.

The design team for the project included:

Main Contractor : R G Carter
Project Manager : Cyril Sweett
QS : Davis Langdon
Structural Engineer & CDM : Hannah Reed Associates
M&E Consultant : Roger Parker Associates
