Colette abseils the i360 for Rockinghorse children’s charity

rhp employee Colette Hagan-Young has taken on the terrifying 450ft drop to fundraise for local Sussex charity Rockinghorse.

As the sun set into the sea on the midsummer evening, Marketing Co-ordinator Colette, along with 19 other fundraisers, descended from the top of Brighton’s i360 tower as part of a fundraising campaign for Chalkhill Hospital in Haywards Heath – Sussex’s only mental health in-patient unit for children and young people.

The thrill seekers were required to lower themselves out of the iconic glass pod at 450ft, and then slowly ‘drop’ to the ground – taking in the fabulous views of the Brighton skyline and beyond.

With over £11,000 collectively raised, Colette said

My feet are still tingling from the experience! What a rush to have fundraised in this way for such an incredibly important cause. Huge thanks to rhp for their encouragement and providing me with this opportunity – so, what’s next?!

There’s still time to make a contribution. You can donate via Just Giving here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Colette-drops-from-the-top
